The problem wasn't the estimating.
We wrote tickets small. A single epic could come out as thirty or forty tickets across frontend and backend. Estimating them was fine; it was everything after that — going back into JIRA and updating every single one by hand — that ate the afternoon.
So I built it.
So I built the tool. Create a room, everyone joins by scanning a QR code — which matters, because everyone is sitting in a meeting room holding a phone, not a laptop. Estimate together, and when you are done the points sync back to JIRA in one go. The tedious part disappears.
The 2017 version
There was an earlier one, made back at Hiiir in 2017. It did one thing: show planning poker cards on a phone. Nine years later the same idea came back. Only this time there was a real problem waiting to be solved — and that is the difference between a demo and a tool.
